UAE, December 15, 2025: Formula Regional Middle East Trophy (FRME) teams are the first in the world to take delivery of the brand new Tatuus T-326, the second generation of FR cars and a major step up for the formula. The new units will be delivered to the FRME teams at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit ahead of the start of the 2026 season next month.

Commented Davide de Gobbi, General Manager of promoter Top Speed: “Formula Regional Middle East is proud to be the first series in the world to debut the new Tatuus T-326. The motorsport spotlight once again shines upon the Middle East, and our superb international line-up of teams and drivers can be relied upon to brilliantly showcase the capabilities of this exciting and innovative new race car.”

The result of intense development by Tatuus Racing and highly-anticipated by the international motorsport community, the T-326 represents a major advancement from its forerunner the T-318, the car which helped speed the likes FRME alumni Kimi Antonelli, Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson to the pinnacle of motorsport competition.

Fully compliant with current FIA regulations for the category, the T-326 encompasses major advancements in performance, aerodynamics and safety. The new car, not only provides greater stability, but is also more responsive. Enhanced chassis architecture and a revised suspension system improve steering precision and overall balance through corners.

Taking inspiration from the highest echelons of single seater competition, newly-developed aerodynamic efficiency brings increased downforce and reduced wake effect, improving both overtaking opportunities and overall racing quality.

The groundbreaking ATM163T engine encapsulates power, efficiency and innovation. Formula Regional’s first-ever three-cylinder engine has been developed by ATM-Autotecnica Motori in collaboration with TOM’S, and is derived from the Toyota G16E unit. The engine is designed to deliver high performance alongside improved energy efficiency, and all-important reliability.

As did its predecessor, the Tatuus T-326 fully complies with the latest FIA safety standards, including newly-designed crash boxes, anti-intrusion panels and a revised roll-over protection system. Meanwhile, the ergonomic configuration of the cockpit interior has been optimized to accommodate a broader spectrum of driver physiques, strengthening inclusivity and making Formula Regional more accessible to a wider demographic.

The four-stop, 12-race FRME season gets underway on January 16 at Yas Marina Circuit, and concludes on February 13 at Qatar’s Lusail International Circuit.
